These Booking & Service Terms apply to massage appointments arranged through massageinalgarve.com or directly with the independent massage therapist operating the service.
By requesting and attending an appointment, you agree to the terms below. These terms are intended to ensure that every session takes place in a safe, comfortable, respectful, and professional environment.
1. Nature of the Services
Massage services are provided for relaxation, wellness, and general wellbeing.
Sessions are available for individuals and, where offered, couples. Depending on the treatment selected and availability, appointments may take place:
- In the comfort and privacy of your hotel or accommodation
- At a designated treatment location in the Algarve
- In a treatment room within a selected partner spa or wellness location
The available treatments, session durations, locations, and prices may vary. Current details will be provided when arranging your appointment.
All services are professional massage and bodywork experiences. They are not medical treatments and should not be considered a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.
2. Booking an Appointment
All sessions are available by appointment only and should be arranged in advance.
Booking requests can be made through the contact options provided on massageinalgarve.com, including:
- Phone or WhatsApp
- Website contact form
A booking request does not guarantee an appointment. Your session is only considered confirmed once the date, time, location, treatment, and any other necessary details have been agreed.
Availability may vary depending on the treatment, location, therapist availability, and notice provided.
3. Age Requirement
Massage services are available only to clients aged 18 or over.
By requesting an appointment, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Proof of age may be requested where reasonably necessary. If the age requirement cannot be confirmed, the appointment may be refused.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately before, during, and after their appointment.
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate booking and contact information
- Arriving or being ready at the agreed time
- Providing appropriate access when a session takes place at a hotel or accommodation
- Communicating any relevant health information before the massage
- Following reasonable instructions relating to the treatment
- Respecting the therapist’s personal and professional boundaries
The therapist should also be treated with the same respect, privacy, and consideration expected by the client.
5. Professional Boundaries and Conduct
A safe and respectful environment is required for every appointment.
Aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, coercive, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour will not be accepted.
The therapist has the right to stop a session immediately if a client’s behaviour makes it unsafe, uncomfortable, or inappropriate to continue.
Where a session is ended because of serious inappropriate behaviour or a violation of professional boundaries, the client may also be refused future appointments.
6. Health and Wellbeing
Before your appointment, you should disclose any relevant medical condition, injury, allergy, recent surgery, pregnancy, medication, skin condition, or other health concern that could affect your massage.
If you are unsure whether massage is appropriate for you, you should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before booking.
The therapist may adapt, postpone, or decline a treatment where there is a reasonable concern that massage may not be appropriate or safe.
Massage services are provided for wellness and relaxation purposes and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, physiotherapy, or medical treatment.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Plans can change, but clients are asked to provide as much notice as possible when cancelling or changing an appointment.
Where possible, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may result in future booking requests being declined or additional booking conditions being required.
If the therapist needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, reasonable efforts will be made to inform you as soon as possible and arrange another suitable time.
8. Late Arrivals
Clients should be ready at the agreed appointment time.
If you are late, the session may need to be shortened to avoid affecting later appointments. It may not be possible to extend the session beyond the original finishing time.
If a delay is significant and the appointment can no longer reasonably take place, it may be treated as a late cancellation.
If you expect to be delayed, please make contact as soon as possible.
9. Prices and Payment
Prices depend on the treatment, session duration, location, and any additional arrangements agreed when booking.
The applicable price will be communicated or displayed before the appointment is confirmed.
Any payment method, deposit requirement, travel charge, or other applicable cost will be communicated in advance if applicable.
Clients should confirm any questions about pricing before the appointment begins.
10. Hotel and Mobile Appointments
For appointments taking place at a hotel or private accommodation, the client is responsible for ensuring that the therapist is permitted to enter the property and can access the agreed location.
Some hotels, resorts, apartment buildings, or private properties may have their own rules concerning external service providers. Any necessary permission should be arranged by the client before the appointment.
If access is refused or significantly delayed because the necessary permission has not been arranged, it may not be possible to complete the appointment as scheduled.
11. Right to Refuse or End a Session
The therapist reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or end an appointment where there is a reasonable concern regarding safety, health, hygiene, inappropriate conduct, intoxication, professional boundaries, or the suitability of the requested service.
A session may also be refused where the request falls outside the treatments or professional services offered.
This discretion is intended to protect both the client and therapist and to maintain a safe and professional environment.
12. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings during an appointment.
Reasonable care will always be taken, but clients should keep valuables and personal possessions secure, particularly when appointments take place at hotels, spas, or other third-party locations.
13. Privacy
Personal information provided when making an enquiry or booking an appointment is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on massageinalgarve.com.
Information relevant to an appointment will only be used where reasonably necessary to manage the booking, communicate with the client, or provide the requested service.
14. Changes to These Terms
These Booking & Service Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the services, booking arrangements, or applicable requirements.
The latest version published on massageinalgarve.com will apply to new booking requests.
